Software Monitoring
Record all applications including games being run on all monitored computers. This includes any application 'hidden' in users authorised directories on the network or being run from removable media such as USB sticks. If a user renames their program file with the aim of avoiding detection, they will fail ! A.M.S. detects the true 'identity' of the software being run !

Software Filtering
Allows you to control what software cannot be used. Simply add the 'event' that is reported in A.M.S. to the flag list and if the option to 'kill applications' is set to on, this event will be closed down when a user attempts to run the program in the future. It won't matter which user, or from what directory the program is run from, it will be closed down on all the monitored computers in the network.

Are files sharing programs (e.g. Kazaa) causing excess traffic bills for internet usage ? Internet Filtering software does not detect or prevent Peer to Peer file sharing programs from being run on a network.

Are games being run ? See all of these easily including Java based games.

Website Activity
Record websites visited by all users. Will also record sites which contain Internet based games being played. A.M.S. records the search terms that users use in Search Engines such as Google or Yahoo.

Download Blocking
Control the downloading of music, video or program files. (e.g. mp3, mpeg, avi, exe, zip etc.) The owner of the computer network can be fined for having illegally obtained copyrighted material on their computers.

Website Filtering
As a byproduct of A.M.S.'s design, you can control what websites users cannot visit. A.M.S. is NOT designed to replace existing Internet Filtering software.

In fact, as A.M.S. monitors where the user goes on the internet, you will be able to see easily what sites your users are accessing, that are not being blocked by your Internet Filtering software. You can then block the 'offending' site in A.M.S. or you can go back to your Internet Filtering software and block the site there.

N.B. A.M.S. does NOT include any 'subscription' type information for the blocking of websites. It uses an 'exact' match or a 'partial' match of the website information that appears in the top of your browser window. If you were to enter in the word 'sex' to A.M.S. flag list, you would not only block most 'porn' sites but also perhaps references to 'sexual reproduction' as well. You can enter as many words or phrases as you like.

As an example, you could ban the use of Yahoo Image Search and Yahoo Mail while allowing access to Yahoo - the search engine.

Websites that include internet based games can be banned as well.

Window Activity
See all windows in which the user directly interacts on the computer. This includes software and websites. All activity includes details of time/date, username and workstation name recorded against it.

Reporting
View or print one of the many standard reports. Custom reports available.

Configuration
Runs on any type of network and the monitoring clients can run in stealth mode.
Client runs when computer boots up. User cannot disable client if network is secure.

Installation and Rollout
A.M.S. has been designed for easy implementation in a network. Installation and configuration of the server should take about ten minutes (including reading the manual !) Several hundred clients can be rolled out in larger installations using 'management consoles' in a couple of hours.

User Account Management
Users can have their account suspended and reactivated totally automatically by A.M.S. if they access too many flagged events.

Three levels of User Suspension are available with differing administrator determined periods for each available. Suspended users are unable to use any monitored computer on the network until their time has elapsed. Resetting of account earlier is permitted and performed by the Network Administrator.

Warnings can be displayed instantly on users' computer when a flagged event has been detected.

Automatic User Addition
Users are automatically added to A.M.S. when they log onto the network with their access level being set as a normal user i.e. full monitoring and control !

No need for additional work for Network Administrators to add users!

Database
Uses SQL for database for greater reliability than 'access' type as used in others. (N.B. Microsoft SQL Server is NOT required for operation of A.M.S.!) Integrated Archive manager to maintain 'current' and 'archived' databases.

Additional Resources
Access is provided from within the A.M.S. console to Remote Shutdown to remotely shut down (and restart a user's computer) and Netwatch to see what files are open and by whom.
